Spring bodes well for Tunisian economy and ICT ratings
Tunis , May 23, 2007 (TunisiaOnline) --Spring 2007 has brought many good tidings for the Tunisian economy. After the being credited BBB+ by the Agency Fitch Rating and BBB by Standard and Poor's, the Japanese Rating and Investment Information, R&I, has attributed a clear A to Tunisia for its excellent credit history and its solvency and reliability on the international financial market.
Thanks to these ratings by the world's leading agencies, Tunisia is now 9 th jointly with South Africa . Observers note that this is an achievement in itself when India occupies the 10 th position and China is 8 th .
In the sector of information and communication technologies, the Davos World Economic Forum Report on ICT's has ranked Tunisia 35 th in the world (over some 122 countries) in terms of the impact of ICT's on the development process, as well as the country's competitiveness. In this category Tunisia is the first in Africa and second in the Arab World (after the UAE).
