Rock Music

Well, I noticed that most of the 'Asslema-ists' listen to other genres of music, so I thought about starting this Thread about Rock music.
Personnaly, I listen to Rock & Metal Music: Symphonic Death/Black ; Melodic Death/Black ; Shock ; Industrial ; Progressive ; Alternative ; Power ; Gothic ; Grunge; Trash ; ... and My favourite Artists: Therion, Marilyn Manson, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquility, Rammstein, Cradle Of Filth, ...
So, any Rockers Here ?

as a child of the early eighties i grew up with old school and black music. i passed my puberty with r'n'b (in an air of touch me, tease me, kiss me please me bla bla, maybe therefor i became too softy in love things)

but in the last two year, where r'n'b nearly lost its brilliance, i discovered rock music, especially indie rock and alternativ. i always liked oasis, travis, matchbox 20 and these days i do enjoy listening to maroon5, mando diao and others.

I must be really old-fashioned, 'cause except for r'n'b I don't recognize any name up here. Well the music I really love has no age, no particular genre, it is just the music that touches you with every tune, the music that goes deeper than any other music, that gets into you and speaks about you. So I'll just name same favorite singers and maybe some titles:

In the arabic music world, I love: Feiruz, Marcel khalife, Najet Essaghira, Kadhem, Mejda...
I like listening to Abdelhalim and Um kalthoum.

French: Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Dalida, Michel Sardou, Garou (quoique je connais pas toutes ses chansons), Jonny Halliday, Celine Dion..

English: Bryan Adams, Toni Braxton, Cat Stevens (in Sad Lisa), Hoobastank (The Reason) ...

And I love Spanish music!

the first whole metal album i ever heard was cradle of filth's bathory area it just gets into ur soul!!

i'm a metal fan myself but not with the same preferences, my favorit bands are anathema, orphaned land, lacuna coil, my dying bride, xandria and of corse cradle of filth

I m almost the same, I like listening to rock music, love the beat, how it sounds, the lyrics...
my favs are matchbox 20 from which I have all three albums, maroon5 of course (great band, my fav at the moment!), 3 doors down, travis... I like some of aerosmith' songs just like bon jovi etc
and of course I listen to pop-rock very often as well, just to mention pink and kelly clarkson.

metal is much too gloomy for me, reminds me of gothic as well.

I like kryptonite, but contrariwise I don't like the music vid of it.

I forgot to mention snow patrol, every grey's fan adores chasing cars!

Long life to metal music! I am really glad to see that even Metal have its place here
I am a metalhead myself(yes & a burning one too lol)i listen to all metal genres form the softest to the most extreme, but may be have a little preference for heavy&power.

i love rock music but not the hard rock my favourite groups are : black sabbath, deep purple, ac/dc, queen, the doors

why that?
