Hoz can you tell someone you don't love him without hurting his/her feelings?

Did you have to do that before? If so, what was the outcome?

Or would you just rather leave things as they are waiting for him/her to understand and back off? Is that fair?

Sometimes in the process of protecting someone's feelings you may have the opposite effect making him/her live an illusive love.

i think that's hard to tell someone that you shared with him so much time and may be some feelings. "sorry i can't be with u no longer cause i don't love u but we can stay friends !!! " it has been an illusion and every thing but love !!
but some how we must say the truth .
personally i lived a such experience ; i thought that i was in love with but i was wrong so i didn't wait to fake a love romance. it was so hard to tell and to explain but it must be the way .

That's one way of looking at it and it is absolutely right - it happens all the time though the topic mainly addresses the absence of the feeling of love from the very beginning (one part being conscious of that).

i think no one can do this conclusion easily. but if one is sure and really means it, the partner has to respect it and deal with it. otherwise the situation get to be freaky and senseless for both

i lived such a situation once: my best friend fell in love with me. i told him that he's only a friend and that i love him like i love my brother, but he didn't understand that and started to tyrannize me. it was very hard for me (and of course for him), but since that day i didn't talk to him again and our frienship was destroyed... by love!
