Are we alone?

this subject may not get a lot of attention,but the question remains:are we alone in the universe? is there any other "intelligent life" out there?

you know lost? I have question more dangerous! : it's how long the wold!? is there a limit or no? if yes, what's the limite so??

There are many questions but i think that we shouldn't think about this!

About yours, what is certain is there are Mars, Venus.... but I don't know if there someone lives there! may be yessss

Question to you lost: are you really expecting an answer?? Nahhh, just kidding!!
I am afraid that nothing of what has been said about this subject so far could be regarded as more than pure speculations. From a religious perspective, the earth is considered as some kind of spiritual center of the universe, this view may imply that indeed no life can be found elsewhere but on earth. Yeah, but which earth and of which universe? It doesn’t really tell whether there are different sets of separate universes having each their solar systems, their earths… and inhabitants, or maybe it does. But hey, let’s face it; the Universe is huge and maybe finite in size. We only know the observable portion of it. There are probably other universes as supported by Multiverse theories. But the fact remains the same: these are only speculations always contested by other speculations and so on…
Maybe the whole universe (as apposed to the observable one) is too big to be only counting us as it’s sole intelligent and living inhabitants (that would be a huge waste of space, wouldn’t??)

PS: I’m sure that if any parallel universe does exist, I’d be ruling the world on it, a mother of two football teams, and creator of the “let’s hug the polar bears’ game”!!

Maybe not the green insect-looking alien that we see in films, but a small bacteria or insecte or any other life form please!...mdr!

how about people who claim that they have been abducted by aliens?and how about all the sightings of UFO(unidentified flying object)?

I was talking about Monotheist religions in general.
Islam is not really silent about extraterrestrial life forms, but Muslim scholars’ views clash as to how interpret what was said in the Quran: some maintain that these are angels that our holy book mentions as life forms living in the sky (sama as in heaven) while others persist in saying that there are actually assertions (in the Quran) of the existence of “aliens” not so different from us living somewhere else on the universe.
I don’t really recall the verses I am afraid. But a Nuclear Engineer and Islamic scholar (Bashiruddin Mahmood) states that extraterrestrial ideas in Islam were first mentioned by Sayedna Mohamed SAAWS in his hadith: “When you sit down in the prayer for the Attahiyat and say: "Peace be upon us, and the righteous servants of Allah" you actually send peace on all the righteous people living on the Earth and in the heavens."And according to Imam Muhammad Ghazali: “people in some of these planetary worlds have learnt to travel and communicate with each other."I haven’t been through all I am afraid, but my feeling is that what is said in the Quran and in the Sunnah can be easily interpreted or misinterpreted in a way or the other.
As for people claiming having been in some kind of contact with aliens, most of them do not really represent what we can consider as reliable witnesses: drunk, psychologically unstable… and I personally haven’t seen any UFO so far, but I still think it’s a nice idea to suggest that there are other intelligent life forms living out there, I just have to walk my way through to the truth, can’t just take what other people say for granted.
