A South African man has been fined $140 for taking a week off work, telling his employers he was pregnant. Charles Sibindana, 27, stole a certificate from a clinic during his pregnant girlfriend's check-up, a court near Johannesburg heard. He then added his own details to the note and submitted it and took seven days off work, seemingly unaware that only women consult gynaecologists. His employers became suspicious and investigated the matter.
So take note boys, if you are going to pull a sickie don’t tell them you’re pregnant!!!

in the usa when a woman is pregnant and she wants to let others know,she and her husband would say"we are pregnant".and when the wife gives birth to a baby her husband can take a maternity leave.i think this is some kind of equality.isn't it ?

In france too they take both maternity leave !
but the woman gets to stay like 2 months with the baby, the dad only 11 days I think !

But the good thing is that women in France can share their own maternity leave credit with their husbands. I mean a woman can give away 2 weeks (if not more) of her maternity leave which would righteously go to her husband. In Tunisia, I believe that men are not given that much consideration, they are only entitled to a few days, which is really sad.

If you are talking about French maternity leaves, I am 100% sure. That’s what my cousin did when she adopted her daughter. She gave her husband two weeks. And the great thing about adoption there, is that you are allowed two months for each child, so if you adopt two babies at the same time you can have up to 4 months maternity leave, (and that’s what they are actually planning to do), which you can’t have if you give birth to twins for example.
