| Re : Tunisian people I wouldn't change a thing Love them in their contradictions ... Love them in their imperfections ... Changing them is losing their tunisian spirit and soul ! Nah ...... we are just fine the way we are ! |

| Re : Tunisian people We lost a lot of precious time while we were under the French occupation.we lost the opportunity to catch up with the industrilised world. Let me put it this way: since when occupation is a good thing?

| Re : Tunisian people With all due respect to the previous comments, I don't think that the tunisian people are perfect or don't need any perfection, simply because we can not progress unless we auto-critisize objectively, and try to correct our mistakes and learn from them. That's not being negative, it's just the opposite, it's striving to be among the best, and that's exactly what's lacking the tunisian mentality, and that's why everything is pretty much average (if we don't say mediocre) in Tunisia starting with Canal7, Cinema, infrastructure, Tourisme (de masse), service, sports( across the board)... So if I have the power to change something, I would change the mentality of: "tkarkiir" or doing things half-way, without providing a big effort that might make a difference. |

| Re : Tunisian people If I could change something in Tunisian people, I would change the way they deal with change. Let me put it better: Tunisians reject change, especially positive change. I think that change makes people better, if we are not ready to change for the better and eventually for the best, we are most likely to get nowhere..

| Re : Tunisian people I think most Tunisians love their country, but it might have deceived them at some time, though I don't understand how some people cannot love their own country. I have had known a person myself, he hates Tunisia as if it was Israel. That's the worst example I've ever known. The guy even considers America his country and is going to Irak in June as an American soldier! What can you say about that?

| AW: Re : Tunisian people Citation:
if you were born outside and if you ve lived outside all your life long, why should you "love" something you didn't know and what you haven't experienced all by yourself? is only the fact of being of tunesian origin this much precious? just for the roots that you were born with? | Re : Tunisian people Well i was speaking about someone who was brought up here. I don't know how you see things, 'cause we didn't leave the same experience. I was brought up here and I belong in here. I love this country 'cause I'm part of it, it has got my childhood memories, my family's here. It deceived me in more than an occasion but I love it. I'm leaving it in less than 2 months, but I know I'll never despise it (I know you don't)
